An International Perspective & New Beginnings

Vicky joined Rubix in 2024, bringing with her an international perspective shaped by seven years living in London. Drawn to the company’s strong market position and reputation as a leading supplier, she saw an opportunity to step into a new industry and be part of a well-established, globally recognised business.

Growing Beyond the Role

Starting in a customer service role, Vicky quickly became a key link between suppliers, internal teams and finance – ensuring smooth coordination across the order and invoicing process. From the beginning, her curiosity and proactive mindset set her apart. Never one to stay within the boundaries of the role, Vicky actively sought opportunities to learn from other departments, gradually expanding her responsibilities and supporting wider areas of the business, including UK invoicing.

Her journey has been defined by consistent growth and a willingness to embrace new challenges. By continuously building her knowledge – supported by Rubix’s training resources and language development opportunities – she has strengthened both her confidence and capability in the role.

A People-First Approach to Work

For Vicky, the most rewarding part of her work is helping others. Whether it’s supporting colleagues or resolving challenges, the simple recognition of a “thank you” is what motivates her most. That positive, people-first approach underpins everything she does and contributes to the strong relationships she builds across the business.

Looking Forward & Life Outside Work

Looking ahead, Vicky is focused on continuing her development within customer service, with a desire to grow further within the department and take on greater responsibility over time.

Her advice to new starters is clear: never give up. While starting in a new company can feel overwhelming, especially when surrounded by experienced colleagues, perseverance and a willingness to learn will always pay off.

Outside of work, Vicky brings the same energy and positivity to her personal life. She enjoys staying active through cycling and hiking and loves socialising – always looking for ways to bring people together and create a positive atmosphere.
