With a strong passion for business from an early stage, an R&D robotics company exposed him to innovation and cutting-edge technology and sparked an interest in sector specific application.
Since transitioning to the PPE distribution industry, Javier joined Brammer as a specialist, helping to develop both the PPE business unit and the industrial vending division. He has taken on multiple roles within Rubix, from management and coordination of offers to assuming leadership as a Category Manager. He also played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s service structure at an Iberian and Pan-European level.

Current Role and Responsibilities
As Category Manager for PPE, TGM, and Chemicals, Javier plays a crucial role in shaping Rubix’s strategy within these key business areas. His role involves strategic planning and supplier agreements, ensuring that they establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key brands that align with Rubix’s business objectives.
Collaborating with the marketing department is another crucial aspect of his role, where he helps plan and execute impactful campaigns, initiatives, and promotional materials that drive engagement and sales.
Notable Achievements
Javier has led and contributed to several key Rubix initiatives that have had a significant impact on the business such as:
- “developing a new Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) model in 2017, which significantly improved performance metrics and resulted in a doubling of turnover in just three years!” This project demonstrated the power of strategic planning and execution, as well as the importance of working closely with suppliers and customers to optimise efficiency;
- “creating a service structure at both the Iberian and Pan-European levels – helping streamline operations, improve service delivery, and create a more cohesive structure across multiple regions”; and

Javier would encourage new recruits to “embrace the company’s vast potential, set ambitious goals, and take advantage of the many paths available to develop their careers.” With over a decade at Rubix, he has seen firsthand how hard work and dedication can lead to exciting new opportunities within the company.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Javier is passionate about outdoor endurance sports and uses them as an outlet to stay active and maintain balance. He particularly enjoys running, cycling, and mountain biking, and has participated in various endurance challenges, including triathlons, duathlons, and trail running events.
With two young daughters, his time is now more limited, but Javier continues to seek out new challenges. His next goal? A mountain duathlon in April, which he is eagerly preparing for!
