Meet Harry Strutt: Regional Account Manager, Rubix UK

Harry’s journey at Rubix began 16 years ago when he stepped into the role of Internal Sales Representative. With a background in sales and marketing within the health industry, he was new to the world of engineering and industrial sales, but his passion for problem-solving made it an exciting challenge.

“As a boy, I loved Lego and taking my bike to pieces to see how it worked – Rubix’s products and service offering sparked that same curiosity. I never imagined I’d be here 16 years later, but once I got into the industry, I didn’t look back.”

Quick to adapt and grow, Harry gained a deep understanding of Rubix’s products, clients, and the problem-solving approach needed to thrive.

Climbing the Ranks: Sales to Leadership

After gaining solid experience in internal sales – from structured training and on-the-job experience – Harry moved to a regional support role, where he managed OEM conversions and oversaw tenders. His ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and drive results led him to manage Rubix’s high-profile Coca-Cola Wakefield account.

“That was a big moment for me – managing operations at such a high-profile site. It really pushed me to develop my leadership skills and think strategically.”

When asked about his proudest moment, Harry referenced this promotion to Regional Sales Manager: “Knowing my work had been noticed by Senior Managers, and that I was being trusted with a bigger role and broader responsibilities was rewarding. Mentoring teams and driving business growth was a natural next step.”

Balancing Ambition with Family Life

Outside of work, Harry balances his ambition with a busy family life and a small holding. He has a flock of sheep, goats, and chickens to care for, making sure his downtime is spent enjoying nature. A keen adventurer, Harry is often up a mountain or camping, and as a Cub-Scout leader, he gets to share his love for the outdoors with the next generation.

“It’s a busy life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s about finding that balance and being present with my family while also pursuing my goals at work.”

A Workplace That Feels Like Home

What stands out most for Harry is Rubix’s culture of camaraderie and support. “The team feels like family. We’ve celebrated both professional achievements and personal milestones together and although our paths through the organisation have varied, we’ve all progressed. There’s a real sense of belonging here.”

For anyone looking to build a long-term career in an environment that values people and development “Rubix is more than just a company – it’s a place of possibility. Even supporting a potential move to Scotland!”
