As part of the Group’s network development strategy, Rubix has acquired Cophyma and Cophyma 38, two hydraulics specialists based in south-east France.
The acquisition takes Rubix’s hydraulics offer into the Rhône-Alpes region giving customers across south-east France improved access to hydraulic maintenance, repair and technical support.
Based in Taluyers and Vourey, Cophyma and Cophyma 38 are specialised in the maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems. Both companies will join the Systèmes Technical Centre led by David Berland. Founder and Managing Director of Cophyma, Bernard Motte will support the transition over the coming months.
The acquisition follows Rubix’s purchase of Thomé earlier this year and continues the build-out of a national hydraulics network able to support manufacturers wherever they operate in France.
Commenting on the acquisition, Rubix France CEO Alexandre Labasse said: “I’m delighted to welcome my new colleagues at Cophyma to Rubix. They know their customers well and bring real hydraulics expertise and a strong local reputation to the Group.
“We can now offer on-the-ground hydraulics capabilities in the south-east of France, building on the network we have been developing across the country. Customers in the region can now call on Rubix for hydraulic maintenance and repair, backed by the wider Rubix offer”.
Bernard Motte, founder of Cophyma, said: “Becoming part of the Rubix family is a great step for us and for our customers. It opens up a much wider offer across the region and connects them to the strength and reach of Europe’s leading industrial distributor.”
Patrice Ravera, founder of Cophyma 38, added: “We are proud of what we have built at Cophyma and Cophyma 38, and joining Rubix is the natural next chapter for the business.”
